Founded in 1981 by Bernard K. Teachout, a former Genesee County Sheriff's Deputy, B.K. Teachout Investigations served the greater Flint area, providing uniformed security officers and private investigators. In 1995, Bernard Teachout retired and sold the company to Joseph R. Cozart. Cozart started with the company in 1985 as a security officer, working his way up through the business into the position of President.
Whether managing an agitated individual or minimizing incidents, our armed security officers are equipped and have a high level of training to ensure all incidents are handled properly. Our security officers are also trained in PPCT, a less lethal alternative, which is used by police departments in most municipalities.
Teachout Security Solutions provides professional and well-trained uniformed officers who go through extensive training that prepares them for any situation that may arise. Our uniformed officers can be used at a wide range of sites and situations for educational, institutional, financial, retail, industrial, governmental, healthcare customers and more.

I was disrespected by a mr blank was told I was B$&ching and complaining because I had a few concerns for my hours and safety. I feel like as a black women he thought it was ok to talk to me in such unprofessional manner in all Honesty I feel Iike he was calling me a B$&@h. I felt discriminated against because Mr. Blank had a personal feeling towards me that wasn't professional at all because he felt I was b$&@hing and complaining that's why he didn't care for my concerns also adding in text he words were what he said wasn't outta line.
Nobody even attempted to apologize to me for the disrespect. Iwas fired due to a a reason that had nothing to do with why I was disrespected nobody wanted to face me so they found another reason to get rid of me. They don't care about their employees not a concern etc because it will lead to you getting disrespected. I had a voice stressed my concerns and was disrespected Teachout is by far one of the worst companies to work for. U just gotta go to work and keep yo mouth shut.
I wouldn't recommend this company if it's your last resort I'm a great worker and did not deserve to be disrespected. No stars from me again in all honesty nobody really cared I was disrespected I was ignored threw text for days about my concerns but was told I was B$&@hing that's how they talk to Their employees. Also they don't let you clock out for lunch or any other break after you've worked 8 hours

The way some guards act towards staff are ridiculous. Coming into a hospital they represent a company and should be caring and kind. If you can't handle the job maybe you should find another place to work. It's sad to see a guard who is a higher up treating others badly. Definitely not a place I would want to work for.

WARNING: Teachout is GRIMY! They do NOT pay you your last check if you quit. My family member is now retaining a lawyer and they have been reported to the Labor Dept and the Better Business Bureau! Teachout Security has some wonderful officers aka security guards but that is the ONLY thing good about Teachout. The upper management does NOT care about the entry level employees/guards.
I have a family member that worked there. She said that Teachout can't keep guards due to the way they treat them. They just got in trouble for not paying guards while on the clock. They made her use her own car for sitting in a parking lot over night in the winter. She had to run the car to keep warm but they never paid for gas. She had to use her car for jobs that required a vehicle.
One trick they pull is they lower your hours to 10 hours. My daughter told them she was going to file unemployment so magically her hours increased. They never have your back. They don't know what each site, the job entailed. Bottom line: NOT a good company to work for.

Teachout Security was a fantastic experience for myself. I enjoyed my time in the healthcare division as my supervisors and colleagues were helpful and professional. If the stars could have aligned differently for me from the aspect of living closer, I would have never left. I liked my job that much. Terry, Ian, George, and many others made this a wonderful experience. It's a class-act company.

I just applied to the Pontiac location and I'm hoping the manager there isn't the one or the same guy as the one in flint a few years back. There was an older guy in charge in flint that was mad at the world it seemed like and took it out on his guards. I vowed I'd never work for this company again however it's in a hospital setting and different city so maybe things and people are better in pontiac.

I just recently met with the folks at Teachout Security & was pleasantly surprised to find out all of the companies that they service. They not only care about their high quality employees, but they sincerely care about all their clients protection. I will will say that they are not the absolute lowest price, but they are the best value I've found.
If security is what you are looking for, you won't need to look much further. I also learned that the company is expanding their security forces & looking for well disciplined individuals seeking a career in the public safety field. Thumbs up to Teachout Security, they got your six.

Teachout Security is a fantastic security company. When I started as a security officer I heard stories about officers growing with the company and becoming manager's. This became a reality for my career. Teachout recognizes individuals who perform above the standard and demonstrate initiative, and develop them for supervision and management positions.
