This is the number 1 Locksmith, safesmith and AMSEC retailer in the Houston area. For these reasons, Professionalism, knowledge, price, service and reputation. Charging $120 an hour for a technician that doesn't even know how to work on safes. Has to be on FaceTime and taken thru the repair process step by step by the owner and still couldn't properly fix the issue. Then refused to give warranty and DIDNT EVEN WEAR A MASK WHEN ITS REQUIRED. Do yourself a favor and Call someone else.

Your expensive lock is only as good as the person installing it. I have recently had 2 dishonest people put a lock in my house The first one was a big company that drive yellow cars and he disappeared with my lock for 40 minutes so he could cut it ( he said it was too long) I found out later that those trucks have key replication machines in the back The second lock I bought was a nest Yale and the couple that installed it also programmed it and they put their own email as the primary owner of the lock and gave me an app that must of been for someone that comes to your home temporarily.
I found this out by going on YouTube and watching someone explain the nest app. It was amazing the things you could see on the main app ( even how many attempts to unlock a door by someone, at what time) and it keeps a history of you door activity) On the app they gave me I saw nothing, I was wondering why they had even made an app. Yale nest is a good honest company.
When I called their customer service, they let me know that the email they have on file for my lock( each lock has their own I.D number was not my email. But they will keep you on the phone to reset the lock and put it under your email and void their email. As I was putting the battery Bach in the lock, the nest representative heard a sound coming from the battery.
He told me that the lock has been tempered with and not to use it They send me a new Yale nest lock in no time and all I have to do is send the old one back A friend recommended Baker safe and locks. Dave came to my house and installed the lock, then he showed me where on YouTube they show you how to program your lock yourself He said his job was to make sure that his customers are safe and explained to me deadbolts and made some suggestion. Thank you Dave.

I wasn't that thrilled about having to call a locksmith to get into my bathroom on a Saturday night, but I had left the shower running and it needed a key I didn't have (I am a new owner). Freddy came quickly and was cheerful and helpful. I won't have that same problem ever again, but I can highly recommend Baker Safe & Lock.

I was locked out of my safe and began to call around for locksmith services. Greg Gilbert (General Manager) at Baker Safe & Lock handled my call. He was extremely knowledgeable and after looking at pictures of my safe he gave me recommendations on additional things I should try for opening the safe before having one of his people come over to help.
This gave me confidence that this company is honest and not just after easy money. Unfortunately none of the possible quick fixes worked and I did in the end have to have one of Baker's locksmiths come over. Opening the safe ended up being more difficult than Baker's had expected as the safe was of an unknown brand (after market) and different design of locking internals and so it required nearly 2 hours for the technician, Asa, to open. Asa arrived on time, was very courteous, and he tried all possible means to open my safe without damaging it even though in the end he was forced to drill it open.
What impressed me the most is that in spite of the difficulties encountered and the additional time required to open the safe, Baker's still charged me the same amount they had quoted me based on the expectation of a standard job. I highly recommend this company if you have any issues with your safe or locks.

I recently purchased an AMSEC gun safe and got quotes from 6 AMSEC dealers within the Houston area. Baker Safe & Lock Company had the best delivered and installed (including bolt down) price of the 6 quotes for the exact same model, configuration, and color/texture safe. Greg Gilbert (General Manager) and Leonard Ekholm (Operations Manager) were very helpful in making sure that the safe that I selected met my needs.
There was absolutely NO "upselling" and NO sales pressure at Baker Safe & Lock. They answered all my questions in a professional, easy to understand manner. The next day, two safe technicians, Brad and John, delivered the safe in great condition. Unfortunately for me, my homebuilder had installed a door that is just 1-1.5" inches wider than the smallest dimension of the safe and the room has a slight turn at the entrance.
Despite this challenge, Brad and John expertly and carefully maneuvered the safe pass the door and installed it in my selected spot. Seeing them move the safe was impressive.especially without one of those safe-moving robots. On top of this, they took great care to make sure that my hardwood floors and walls were well protected during the move with proper scratch resistant floor paneling and heavy duty steel plates to protect the driveway and concrete walkway.
After the installation, Brad and John reviewed the operation of the safe. In summary, with Baker Safe & Lock you get end-to-end great service and a very good selection at the best price in town. Please note that their showroom has a much larger selection than what is indicated on their website.
