Firstly I encourage you to look elsewhere for monitoring. I do not think this is an ethical company. But if you persist with b-Safe, READ THE CONTRACT CLOSELY! Specifically, the terms and renewal. The sales person will gloss over it and hope you don't see it but you are signing a five year contract you won't get out of. And If after 5 years and one month you decide you don't want it anymore TOO BAD - you're on the hook for another five years!

A TEN year commitment to pay overpriced monitoring - all for not reading the fine print! They will hand you a magnifying glass and tell you it's all in the contract you signed (which in my case was true). And they will also say it's for your protection to make sure you're covered. That's laughable and transparently self serving.

The industry leaders in this space do not auto renew for multi-year terms but still keep their customers covered. The service was fine and the materials they used were fine also. The installation guys were great. I do take issue with the sales guy MS who knew I didn't want a long commitment but never mentioned the auto renew. Slimy. The pricing is WAY higher than their competitors so I suggest at a minimum you shop around. Specifically, look at larger nationwide companies - they will auto renew month to month which both keeps you covered and not locked in for a decade. It's a shame bc I would normally want to support a small local company but in this instance the local business has predatory policies. Steer clear and good luck!

The installation guys were very good. The monitoring service provided was fair/decent - as good as any other I guess, though it's WAY more expensive. The problem is their contract. BUYER BEWARE - read the fine print. In particular, read the 3. TERM and 4. RENEWAL sections. For your convenience, it auto renews in 5 year (!) increments. So if you're happy for five years and one month, and then decide you don't need it any more.

Sorry Charlie - you're on the hook for 59 more payments. So convenient! Oh, and you won't get any notification of this new commitment - it's only in the fine print of the contract that you signed FIVE years ago. So good luck with that! And they'll defend this business practice by giving you a magnifying glass and saying it was in the contract!

So I highly recommend you just look elsewhere - if there is this sinister, sneaky clause in there, there is likely more onerous language that I am unaware of. Just find a better company - I know there are more ethical ones out there that don't try to trick their customers. Good luck

Philip Gardner you should be ashamed of yourself with your 5 yr contracts in print you need a magnifying glass to read. Only a shyster as yourself would have people sign 5 yr contracts without your sales associates telling the customer beforehand. You have many complaints about this from yrs ago and obviously don't care. Thats why your a shyster.

The camera system works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I asked to cancel the camera portion of our service (and keep the alarm service). I was told that I would incur large fees for breaking the 5 year contract early. We have had it for 2 years and service calls have not fixed the problem. It is frustrating to be held to a contract for a service that does not work properly. I would avoid this company.

This company came through for me when I needed them the most. They not only call with a smile when an alarm goes off but they dig deep to help me out with all my DVR issues. Superb service all the way. On time and will to fix any problems I had. Thank you so much.

My keypad has been alarming for almost 3 hours. I have called 3 times. They have "escalated" it twice to no avail. The on call person still has not returned my call. Do not patronize this security company. They will not respond when you need them.

I do not recommend this company to ANYONE. When we started our service it was with Dave. Dave was great and so easy to deal with. He was friendly and helpful. Dave sold the company to B Safe and it has been a nightmare to deal with. When you have an issue, you get to deal with Pat. she is horrible. (You are lucky if you get someone else in the office!) She is so unpleasant that my husband refused to call and deal with her.

We actually ended up turning the power off to our unit when our sensors went because we didn't want to call and deal with Pat. No one notified us that we had no service and when we expressed this, they said it's like a TV service just because you unplug your TV doesn't mean you don't have a service to your house. OK so if a service person or someone gets in my house and unplugs my alarm, I won't be notified and they can come back at a later time and rob me.

How does that make sense? Now trying to cancel our service (that they said is outdated and no longer works so we would have to upgrade our system or lose our money) is even worse. If you go with them. good luck!

I have two alarm locations Delaware and Florida and I recently moved the location in Florida and worked with Tina Scarfo. She was right on the ball. Knew exactly what to do with the system in the new house which was wired and needed a major up grade to include wireless components. It was done perfectly in no time. Also she scheduled my Delaware system for upgrade to 5G so I could control both by phone.

This was also done quickly. Bob Roads also saw that my needs were addressed in a timely manor. We have been with bsafe for many years and found them to be very responsible since we switched from another supplier.

What a rip off. Now they want to charge an extra $5.00 per month bringing the total monthly charge to $45.00 per month. Other alarms systems are better & available for 1/2 the cost. An example is SimpliSafe a alarm system can be purchased for under $200.00. They offer full service for monitoring plus opening and closings for $25.00 per month & you can cancel at any time.

It is easy to install and add as many monitors, glass breakage detectors, camera, etc as you desire.no technician needed. You can control your system on an Android, iPhone or computer. Notifications are received by email or cell phone. You have total & complete control of your alarm system & can makes changes at any time. Why be locked into a old school contract & antiquated equipment.

Since this review I have purchased 3 simplesafe alarm systems 1 business & 2 homes. All work perfectly with excellent help if needed. Total cost per month $75.00 (3 systems) & much better in every way.

I recently moved into a Dover house that had a B Safe Security System. I wasn't sure about retaining it but with the upsurge of crime in the region we decided to keep it. A shout out to Tina Scarfo, Move Coordinator, who made the transition seamless.

My alarm had gone off, but the monitoring hub had no record of it. I found out that the service was tied to my home phone. I had disconnected my landline a few weeks prior so the signal was going nowhere. The company said my system was too old to connect to a cellular phone so I would need a new system and that a gentleman would call me back to set up an appointment. I haven't heard from him yet. It's been weeks. Not very good with their customer service and satisfaction.

I just want to take a minute and express how friendly and helpful the Staff @Bsafe were to me. I had just acquired a restaurant and fully intended to change security companies and I expressed that to them. Well no pressure was given just a simple explanation of what they could do for me and such. After exploring my options I could not help remembering how nice both the operator and sales rep Tina Scarfo were to me. I called back asked a lot of questions that were answered and I decided to go with BSafe soley how I was treated by their kind considerate staff. I am glad I did.

I'm so glad I read these reviews before deciding to go with B Safe Security. I was not aware that I would be locked into any kind of contract with the company, and this is my main reason for deciding to go with someone else. I think I will continue my research with SimpliSafe a bit, as an above customer highly recommended it in their review. They are way cheaper, user friendly and contract free. No one likes to be locked into a contract for years, and I see no good reason for having to do so with a security company.

Bsafe purchased the alarm monitoring service I previously used. I had no contract with them a d had month to month service. When I notified them to end my service in mid December, even though I was paid up until the end of December, they want me to pay them for another month. I refused. They now call me and everyone on my alarm notification call list every day and harass us. There are so many reputable alarm companies out there to choose from, this is not one of them. I suggest you save yourself the harassment and stay away from bsafe.

BSafe did a great job in allowing us to purchase more equipment in Laurel Delaware. Stuart was a great salesman, and allowed us to change our minds on layouts, equipment, and security services. This is now our 3rd location with BSafe. Glad we chose them.

This company bought out the company I had been using so I just signed the contract thinking it would be similar to what I had. I was so wrong. I am getting new windows and wanted to switch to a wire less alarm system. The contract I had signed was for 10 years and it was not clearly noted on the line with the start of the contract. They are billing me for the remainder of the contract.

Be careful they hid a lot in that contract. Who offers a 10 year contract. I would never have used them if I had known that. It is my fault that I didn't ask, and I admit that and am paying for it now. Be careful because you won't be safe with them

They are very very bad at customer care when you go for canceling the service. My Year to Year contract is starting from Aug 1st, even though I asked to cancel in July they denied, saying, it required 1 month notice. When I sighed the contract for 1 yr the lady(don't want to say her name as she is no more with this company) told me that any time you can cancel by calling 1 month before.

Now even though I am ready to pay 1 month fees for cancelation even though I am with them since 2014. The are still not doing so. I wanted to talk to the manager/supervisor for resolving this issues but they are not allowing to do so. Be care full with this company before signing agreement. I will not recommend any one for to have service from B-Safe.

They use 5-year contract to lock you in and the price is much higher than others. My contract was signed on 2014 which is $36 per month. Recently I want to transfer it to the new owner of my house and they give the new owner $50 per month, which is ridiculous. Also, I was going to cancel the service and call the company. They ask me to wait until the closing date and see if the new owner would love to use their service.

But now they told me the new owner doesn't want to use it and I cannot cancel the service since it is already auto-renewed. Why didn't you told me it will be auto-renewed when the first time I called with the intention of cancellation? Then they said it is on the fine print of the contract that it will be auto-renewed WITHOUT notification. But the truth is the fine print is so tiny and no one mentioned it when signed up the agreement that it will be auto-renewed.

These people screwed my elderly mother over. Claimed she signed a contract, but she doesn't sign contracts unless read. They said she did so they must have had her sign something without telling her it was a contract. In order to get out of it she had to pay a large fee. She needed an updated system and they would have charged way too much. These people are not valid.no longer a small company. And they take advantage of older people,

My home has been protected by B Safe for 25 years. I do not have one bad thing to say about this company! Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly; they do not pressure you into buying things you do not want. When I call to ask a question, I am put through to a service rep who either speaks with me right away or calls me back before the end of the day. I love this company and I highly recommend them.

Wonderful company! Honest, professional and knowledgeable staff. Those complaining about a 5 year contract obviously know nothing about the security business. Most of them have them. If you signed your contract without reading it, it's not the business's fault it's yours. Very pleased with this company and I'll never go anywhere else! I recommend them to all my friends and family. Thank you for making us safe!

Horrible service, sneaky contract. Keep in mind it auto renews the length of the original contract! It doesn't go month to month or even a year but it auto renews the full length. Installation was a disaster I told them I was concerned about a ground floor window by my basement as a point of entry. The said no problem, 2 months later I open a window on the 2nd floor and I the control box state, "basement window open".

I check and sure enough they didn't put anything on my basement window. I called and they said they didn't make a mistake I didn't tell them I wanted an alarm there and the issue with the control box is "naming convention"?!? How do you call a second floor window a basement unless you put it in the wrong spot?!? They charged me $200 for alarms on my basement window.

You open it now it says basement window! Also, in order to keep monitoring service I had to upgrade to a $300 control box or pay them an extra $5 a month in PERPETUITY, not until I paid box off, but for the length of my contract! I asked them to release me from my contract because they could no longer provide services under the terms of our original contract. THEY REFUSED!

Now they charge me monthly and do not provide any service whatsoever. They refused to offer a contract release settlement figure. I have taken them to the DE AG and now I am engaging the CFPB. You have been warned they are overpriced and provide bad service. STAY AWAY!

If your looking for a Great Security Company in New Jersey. B-Safe has an office in Mantua NJ. Ask for Mike Sweeney he is a great salesman to work with. From the girls in the office to techs that install your alarm system you will be very pleased with B-Safe. Make sure you ask them about connecting your alarm system to your cell phone so you can control your system remotely.

Horrible. Read my tip on this business. Who has a 5 year contract? Only a shady company who hopes that you forget to cancel 30 days prior to 5 years and it automatically renews. Denise in billing is so unpleasant. Rude and only cares about the dollar. My company has over 100 contracts and this is the only company who is more than a year. $3000 in contract fees in the last 3 years and they've set foot in our building once in that time and absolutely charged us.

Why the contract? We own the equipment. I'm just throwing away $1000 a year. I was told by the contact guy I would get a call from Denise with a credit and more information on how to get out of the contract (we were 30 days past renewal, because everyone remembers the cancellation date on a 5 year contract) shady. We'll I've waited a month and no call. Only a letter telling me they'll let me out of the contract for $3000! Beware of a company that needs a 5 year contract to make money.

Mike is a great sales rep. He explained the system in detail, reviewed the contract with me in detail, and has been there to answer my questions even after the sale was complete and my installation complete. The tech that installed our unit was friendly and presentable. He walked me through every step of his installation process and left the site clean and neat. He did not leave one wrapper behind. I would definitely recommend them!

The other reviewer is completely correct! Do not sign a contract with this company. The contract is for a five year initial period and then after the 5 years automatically renews for another five years, then renews for another 5 years automatically, etc. The only way to cancel the contract is if you remember once every five years to do so. No one knows what will happen in the next five years!

You could sell your home or no longer want the service for whatever reason. But you are completely locked in for monthly fees for an entire 5 years if you forget to cancel after the first 5! Just stay away! Most alarm companies renew for a monthly period after an initial period of 2 or 3 years. Shop around and ask about the contracts. You will find this is the case.

I also agree with the other reviewer that the employees there are rude. Sneaky contracts. Sneaky business practices. If this is how they make money - by not allowing long time customers to stop paying for services - they should be ashamed of themselves.
