Southern Alarm is the premier security provider in Western North Carolina, a quality institution that my family has relied upon for decades. Compared to other national providers, this local business gets to know its customers by name, provides a modern product, and can always be counted on for near immediate support whenever needed. I only wish that other cities throughout the country had an alarm service like Southern. Using any other company most always disappoints. Southern is the only choice we can truly count upon!

Mark and his team at Southern Alarm & Security were a breeze to work with. I needed a system installed right away and they met my budget needs and my strict timeline. We bought our dream home in Sandy Mush a beautiful Hamlet outside of Asheville NC on 20 acres. Our home is situated in the center of a hardwood forest and very-very secluded and private! As much as that is everything we could hope for we also knew that having a secure home was critical because this is a second home and we are not here all the time. if someone were to want to break into the home there would be nobody who could see it happening.
The previous homeowner had an alarm installed by Southern Alarm and Security. We had them come out to visit to ensure the system was still working and to be sure we were connected to a central station. We had a site visit the people who came were friendly and professional and confirmed we were connected to their central alarm system. They took time to test all contacts, smoke detectors and motions detectors we're working.
Recently the home had a few false fire alarms when we were out of town. We called Southern and spoke to Mark one of the principal's who was very friendly. He assured me based on the age of the smoke detectors it was time to replace them since the life expectancy was 10 year max. We were offered options to consider wireless or wired and less than 24 hours later were scheduled to replace the old smoke detectors. Craig the technician was very professional and had us up and running with a smile on everyone's face.
Southern is a smaller family owned company but offers great personal service that big companies like ADT can not deliver. We prefer to deal with a local family owned company and to support small business especially when it is a better value and one with a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff who are available for prompt courteous service at a competitive price.
