Took advantage of us being new home owners. We told the guy when we signed the papers that we had a dog and cats. He said it was fine. Another guy as he was installing the cameras said that the dog or cats will most likely set the alarm system off. Well they did set it off so we haven't used the alarm system in 5 years and every time we try to cancel they want to charge us a crazy amount of money. I've called and never got a call back. Should have never signed the papers but being first time buyers they took advantage of us

Doing buisness with this sad excuse for an alarm company was the worst I have experienced in my entire life. Our system did not work for months and we wanted to cancel. They refused to let my wife and I cancel services unless we paid a cancelation fee of over $800. The sales representatives and managers that I talked to about our concerns were extremely rude over the phone.

They also kept sending us monthly bills from which we had not recieved service for months. We got the BBB and Beazer Homes involved and were able to finally cancel without having to pay this cancelation fee. The agreement was that they would send a tech to take their equipment and we would part business with one other. The tech came and removed the equipment.

During the removal, I noticed that huge holes in the walls. I even asked the tech if they would repair them, and he told me that he was simply instructed to remove the equipment. The tech left huge holes in our wall without covering them or offering to fix the damage. We are absolutely appalled by how horrible this company does business. Beazer has since dropped them as an affiliate for alarm systems. I would rate them a negative number if it existed on the Yelp ratings. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VOLTA GUARD O MATIC. Absolutely bad.

Worst possible company! They prey on new home owners and have joined with unscrupulous builders in 55+ communities. DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH VOLTA GUARD O MATIC! They present as if it's included with your new built home but it's not. Buyer be aware!

I had a great experience with this company. They installed my alarm system last week. The technician was patient with me to make sure I understood everything. He left me with all the information i needed in case i needed to call the monitoring station, or customer service if i had questions.

Just got cut off in our family vehicle by a driver in vehicle 1-1 at 3:20 pm on 7/18/18 and the driver flipped us off. My wife and I have 2 toddlers in the car. Real classy. I see freei'm the reviews this company is less than tactful.

Decent service however they will keep locking you into contracts if you dont cancel on the exact day. Would not recommend this company There loss. Sold our house And because of there shady business practices I will not recommend them to the new home owner

Volta Guard-O-Matic has been providing myself and family with our alarm service for 20+ years, in our winter home. We have nothing but good things to say about this company. I will continue to use them for all our family monitoring needs.

Guard-O-Matic (Now Volta Guard-O-Matic) uses My Alarm Center to monitor home alarm systems. My Alarm Center is unresponsive and provides terrible customer service - if any. I called Guard-O-Matic today to swithc my monitoring to them as I have serious complaints with My Alarm Center. Guard-O-Matic will not assure me that my business would not go back to My Alarm Center even without my permission.

I wanted to do business with Guard-O-Matic but not My Alarm Center, but apparently I cannot do that. Guard-O-Matic is accepting of the terrible service of My Alarm Center. I will be looking for a different provider. Too bad, they used to be a good company.

I wish I could give it zero stars. Signed up with them at our Design Studio. Almost close time for our home and now they are trying to state we need all these extra fees that were never mentioned at the time of our meeting. Now there excuse is that the person that signed us up no longer works for the company and we have to come out of pocket. I told them that we wanted to cancel and now they are trying to invoice me for labor of $850. Ridiculous now I am worried about the extra work they did for outlets and surround sound we paid for. Worse customer service I have ever received. I will be speaking to our builders and let them know what type of vendors they are working with.

Guard O Matic is a terrible Security Company. They have terrible customer service. I would steer clear of this company at all costs. They installed a security system in my house in which the motion sensors trigger after I set the alarm to stay in the house. Then, when the alarm goes off, they never call to get your passcode or verify anything. I'm paying for a monitoring service that isn't monitored? Yeah right! Good luck getting a hold of anyone after 5pm. You have been warned.

Buyer beware, even if above your name on the contract it says you want to be notified before auto renewal takes place you will not get that notice. Then when you can't get service and want to cancel, they want you to pay anyway. Poor customer service from Guard-O Matic and My Alarm Center.

We had been loyal customers of Guard o Matic for 10 years when we sold our house and moved into a rental for one year. As loyal customers of Guard O Matic, we had them monitor our rental for our 1 year lease. We did not notice the salesman had written the contract for 36 months. Our fault, we know. When we cancelled our service because our lease is up and we are moving, we were told, after 11 years of being a loyal customer, that we would be sent to Collection. Explaining we would not knowingly sign a 3 year contract for a 1 year lease did not matter to Guard O Matic.

They are completely unreasonable. Very bad customer service. And to make matters worse, if your alarm is triggered because of a break-in, they wait a full minute before calling to check on your safety. A lot can happen in a minute. Steer clear of the bad, bad company.

The worst alarm company I've ever dealt with! Cares more about their contract than quality of service. Not the original owners that were good in the past. Use anyone else, you've been warned!

Unfortunately, we have called Guard-O-Matic several times to fix their system here at our business in Apache Junction, AZ. Initially we spent thousands to purchase hardware and have the system installed. Since installation we have had occurrences on a monthly basis requiring a technician to be sent out for hardware failure and system performance and reliability issues.

Each time we are told that they stand behind their product and install work and each time it fails we are charged above our normal monthly fee for them to come out and try to fix the failure. Several times we have had to wait days to get a qualified technician to work on the problem correctly even after sending technicians that came and couldn't resolve it. We are currently experiencing a brand new problem with the hardware and now completely getting the run around.

I should have written this when it happened, but better late than never. Stay clear of this business! They sell a story and then send a low-paid tech to your home to program. I was at home alone when the tech showed up and got that something doesn t feel right feeling so I didn t answer the door. When their office called me later that day I replied that I was sick and wanted to cancel my activation of my existing system, they insisted that I had to pay for the service call --- that never took place.

After being a customer for 3 years, I called to cancel the monthly service only to be told we missed the "30 day cancellation policy" by 3 days. After explaining that I couldn't find my contract and did try my best to cancel according to what they had told me (years earlier), their take was "sorry". Now I am having to pay for another year of service even though I don't use it! Total scum! I hate businesses that operate more like a bait and switch organization than an actual business. I would NEVER recommend this horrible company.

Unfortunately, we have called Guard-O-Matic several times to fix their system here at our home in Phoenix. They are friendly, but completely incompetent. They came out and totally replaced our older system with new sensors, batteries, control pads and main box. Several hundred dollars later for the new equipment and nothing works. All they can say is they don't know why.

Perhaps we should buy more equipment to see if that does anything. How is that responsive or accepting of responsibility to due diligence for your customer and your customer's personal safety? Hardly. Sad. Pathetic actually.
