Dear Sec Tek, I am a taxi driver at the Washington DC union train and bus Station. I heard that your company is the one who won the contract to take care of the passengers and drivers at this location. Not all but some of your security personnel are not doing their job properly. Even many times they are not at their job or even if they are at their job they just sit and engage them selves with their mobile phones.

While they engaged with their cell phones passengers are with out help to find taxi. While on their duty or they are absent passengers are discriminated by taxi drivers, sick and elderly people are with out help. It's a mess. Is these security personnel knows what they are doing? Do they have a job description? Do they have a supervisor? I hope they get paid for the time they are not performing properly.

American public deserves great service. Some of them need proper training how to handle the traffic Since this station accommodating many many passengers at the week ends Friday, Saturday and Sunday please assign hard working individuals. It will be great if we get their supervisor phone number. Thanks before hand for solving this problem.

R. The company owns me over 21, 000.00 dollars in Travel Time, PeDiem and Travel Mileage. It went unnoticed for couple years until I caught it. They do not do not care about the PSOs. If working for this company, check your pay stub every pay period.

One of their officers violently grabbed me by the arm and tried to detain me in the lobby of my apartment because he said he didn't see me use my keycard to enter (which I do every time). When I asked for his name, he lied to me multiple times. When I complained to the company, they didn't respond and then they said they didn't believe me. The same officer also verbally abused my wife, when we complained again they said they would "fire" him but couldn't identify him so they ended up firing multiple black security guards.

When we told them they made a mistake they said they were satisfied with their decision to get rid of them. Turns out they never fired the officer that abused us and only relocated him to Georgetown University's campus where I'm sure he will continue to violently harass people. Update: SecTek responded below saying they dispute the allegations in this review and that this incident happened a year ago and it did not (shows how thorough their investigation was).

It only happened a few months ago and when I contacted the admin at SecTek they tried to ignore me by not returning my calls or taking my reports seriously. When I finally spoke to someone they made it fairly clear from their actions and statement that they don't believe or care about victims at SecTek, only about protecting themselves and their employees.

Also - There is evidence, the whole incident was recorded on the building's security cameras, however the building didn't offer the recordings and SecTek didn't bother to ask for it, they just took their word on it (says a lot about their thorough investigation again). Despite what they say, the building did tell us they "fired" 2 black security guards by mistake due to a lack of identification (which we have them admitting to in a recording and documented in emails) and then said they wouldn't re-hire the one unfairly fired because he let a hooker they had in custody in the building go so they were thinking of letting him go anyway.

As I stated above, they were not "fired" as our building lead on, SecTek simply transferred them to another property rather than stick up for their employees of color or do a more thorough investigation. I would be happy to send all this evidence to SecTek but they never asked for it because they don't care and don't want to help. seems like they only care when these horrible actions are made public.

The pay was a decent living wage. But as for management and client interaction. Management is running fearful of client displeasure they don't listen there officers at all. I think management restructuring is in order.

Hands down the worst security company ive ever worked for. They need to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau for fraud and non payments to employees. They're losing contracts like crazy and the ones that they do have are extremely far and at best pays only $12 an hour. I wouldn't recommend anyone to seek employment with this company or any entity associated with it.

Very very unprofessional and very unorganized. They hired a guy without he security license he has been working for them for 4 months. Lie to you about everything. I was always short on my paycheck because of them. They shorted me $400 and $300 and this was a constantly thing. I was doing the supervisor job all the time. It was so much lies that was going on

The office in Baltimore although not in the best area good luck trying to reach anyone because there's hardly ever anyone at the front desk. The only thing this company does good is work with your schedule. Good if you're looking for part time work. Drug test done on site (swab) ****Update**** This company lacks in alot of area's 90% of the issues could be resolved if people in the MD&VA office answered the phones which that remains to be seen.

I love the ehub feature that allows you to see your check before it's posted. The pay dates are the 10th&25th of every mth. Consistently having to go to the MD office is a pain&as previously stated if they would answer the phones they wouldn't have these issues. However because it's not information for them they will drag their feets for that reason.

It's annoying when you have employees who are about their business and you come across companies who are not in order with procedures. The Virginia office depending on who you speak with if anyone at all they're rude for no reason. 1st of all if a employee is calling you how the hell do they know that they've reached your cell phone. It's not indicated in your voicemail. My take is no one stays in the VA office either. It's just unprofessional all the way around. I see exactly why this company receives the reviews it does.

Lyriq I couldn't agree with you more. Sectek Inc is one of the worse incompetent security company's that I know. I have been with them one year and it has been the worst year of my career. There is never anyone in HR to speak with. Kenneth's Jackson never answers any of his calls. They truly do not care about their employees. I have been slighted 48 hrs off of two paychecks from payroll. They took two weeks to correct the problem with no apology offered. I advise anyone not to consider working for Sectek Inc.
