Security One, Inc was founded in 1981 as "Byrd Alarms". It was renamed Security One in 1990. Owner, Roger Byrd, is a retired police officer from the San Antonio Police force. He is a past president of the South Texas Alarm Association and the Texas Burglar and Fire Alarm Association. We are trusted by over 5000 customers who enjoy our professional, yet personal service.
If you have an open invoice when you set up auto payment, you must pay the open invoice manually. Auto payments only happen on FUTURE invoices. Then submit the payment. Office Upgrade: Total replacement of security cameras (8 units) added to the upgrade of the security system to cellular call system to bypass the VOIP phone system. issues with the burglary in my area for the last few months. Now I can check on my phone and receive notices of login and out and remote set too.

Well after 25 years of using Security One I made a decision to terminate my service with them after the panel going off after midnight chirping and waking me up. Come to find out the cellular equipment is 3G and that is being phased out. Here is the kicker to install a 4G it will cost $300 and Security One is so gracious to flip the cost. Well in my book they want me as a customer that's a cost of doing business and someone in the company didn't make a wise business decision a few years ago when I went to cell service on my alarm.

This must have been seen coming. Told SO that I refused to pay the $150 and after reading my contract that it was time to go. They did this a few years ago when I went to the cellular service. Sign a new contract for 3 years. Lord I have been a loyal customer for 25 years. Well I installed the Ring Alarm yesterday and the monthly fee is $10. That includes back up cell service if the internet goes down. That beats a 10% increase as allowed in my contract to $37 a month. So far I like it has a camera with cloud storage included.

Security One has taken care of my home security system services for over six years now. I am extremely pleased with the service. All of my encounters with the company have been great. I highly recommend their services.

My contract was sold to Security One. I never signed anything with them, yet I was still under contract with them. The only way they will let you out, is if you pay all your months in advance. I have had issues with my cameras in the past and their resolution was "I'm sorry we didn't install them and don't have access to help resolve them. You will have to contact manufacturer and figure it out on your own." I had an issue with my key pad going off on a Saturday.

Their resolution was "I'm sorry we are closed and can't send someone out till Monday. If you need immediate response our rates are $180/hour and I live in San Marcos. The clock starts when I leave my house." I can not get in touch with any managers on the weekends to resolve anything either, that must wait till Monday as well. I have no internet log in access to anything either.

Every time I need anything, I have to call the main office (which is only open Monday-Friday). Bottom line is I don't feel secure at all with them, and if I ever have an issue it's never resolved. You can get better customer service and better secured 24:7 service with any other security company out there. Come Monday I will find a way out of this contract I'm under.

I NEED my business actually protected and for the company I pay monthly to have my businesses best interest at heart. I would not recommend Security One to even my worst enemy!

Tonight at 1:27 am I received a call from monitoring informing me of a low battery signal from one of my accounts with Security One. I got wits about me and called monitoring back spoke with Justin (Manager), he informed me that emails had been sent to Security One's Office, three times in thirty days, but it was my responsibility to follow up on setting up a Service call.

My thoughts. I myself have a company that provides service to customers, if I had received one email about a problem with my customer I would reach out and resolve it. I will be calling main office and find out where these ( work orders) from monitoring go to be left ignored.

I LOVE this company. They have been my alarm company for over 25 years. They are local and were started by retired police officers. I recently had cameras installed and Danny just came out to assist me after I changed some internal settings. They are AMAZING and I simply cannot imagine using anyone else than these guys. Don't make the mistake of using some national firm who's call center is located in another state. You will LOVE them as much as I do. I'm sure!

I have had service with Security One, Inc for two years now and have not had any issues. They are very reliable and they always call to confirm if the alarm has been tripped. They are very professional on the phone & they assist me with my invoice when I've had questions in the past. Happy customer.

I've been a customer of Security One since the mid 1980's and have always had excellent service, but rarely need it because the system works so well. Robin and David came out on Feb. 2, 2018 to switch out equipment and test the system-they were very timely, professional, and friendly but also explained a few features I wasn't aware of. I've always appreciated that Security One has always been a local company. Great job! Wouldn't use any any other company!

I have been a client of this company for a number of years. They have always been reliable in monitoring our alarm system. In addition over the years I have added features to our system and the quality of installation work has been outstanding. Specifically, a Mr. Gearis Soi has been extremely professional and knowledgeable concerning the system and has done stellar work on our behalf. If you have requirements for alarm system work and service provisioning I recommend Security One and Mr Soi.
