The original owners believed that a market was developing for the training of private citizens in the carrying of concealed handguns under a new Texas law. Then in May of 1998, a larger building was purchased and a large training academy was added. This new building was nearly 20,000 square feet of renovated offices, classrooms, retail sales, gym and range area. This newly acquired building was used to expand training to law enforcement, security companies and private citizens as well as job placement for security personnel.

The Facility

Our staff at DFW Gun Range strives to provide a safe, clean, and user-friendly environment for our members, customers and students so that they will maximize their shooting and learning experiences. To that end we maintain a modern 17 lane shooting range, a 2000 square foot training gymnasium, retail display space for guns, accessories, ammunition and related products, a comfortable lounge area with a big screen TV, four large classrooms with TV, video players, white boards, large lcd televisions for power point presentations, offices, restrooms and storage facilities.

At DFW Gun Range, we are very supportive of our novice shooters, and consistently work to ensure full enjoyment of their shooting experience! In an effort to get more ladies interested in the sport of shooting, we have designated the First TUESDAY of the Month as Date Night at the DFW Gun Range.
