All patrol officer trainees must complete a 40 hour training course within the 1st 90 days of employment. Elements of this course involves running, and physical activity. Select Patrol officers spend much of their patrol on foot as they do in their vehicles. All employees must complete annual training courses in order to qualify for pay raises and promotions.
